I’m glad you’re here!
I am Matthew Jorgensen, and I am a designer. The problem is, I always struggle to define myself as a designer. Designer? That’s the engine driving me. Art Director? Sometimes. Printmaker? Rumored to be. Photographer? Not often enough. Marketer? I don’t understand the question and I won’t respond to it. Murals? Tarps and brushes at the ready. Illustrator? You betcha. Brander-er? I can make a mark.
I’ve done a lot of different things throughout my career, all design-centered, with a primary focus on print production, layout, and brand design. But! I’m a problem solver at heart, equally comfortable solving design problems digitally and print-ally. I believe careful thought combined with rapid iteration can solve most any design problem.
Beyond the 9-5, I share a letterpress studio with Midwest Ephemera, and have my own weirdo practice under the moniker C’mon Home. We print on old cast-iron beasts using wood type, lead type, lino-carvings, polymer plates and anything else those wackos down at Hatch have assured us won’t wreck the beds.
If you have a project you want help with, are interesting in making something together, and/or in need of finely or questionably printed goods up to 12in. X 18in., reach out!
Enough about me, I want to hear about you, your project, or whatever you find interesting right now.
